JASS, YLD plan winter festivities

Two Valley young-adult groups are hosting holiday parties.

JASS, the Jewish Association of Singles Services, will put on its 14th annual Winter's Eve Gala, at 8 p.m. Saturday, Dec. 23, at the Hilton Scottsdale Resort, 6333 N. Scottsdale Road.

Tickets are $50 in advance; or at the door, $55 for members and $65 for nonmembers. Annual dues plus gala admission is $75 at the door.

Limelight Entertainment will perform at the black-tie-optional event. A kosher meal will be served.

The following evening, the Young Leadership Division of the Jewish Federation of Greater Phoenix will stage its third annual Mazelpalooza.

Festivities start at 8 p.m. Sunday, Dec. 24, at Sanctuary, 7340 E. Shoeman Lane. Scottsdale.

Appetizers will be served, with dietary laws observed.

Guests are invited to bring a canned food item to benefit the Valley of Sun Jewish Community Center Senior Center and residents of Kivel Manor.

YLD is open to young adults, married couples and singles 22-40.
