Temple Kol Ami's board of trustees has appointed members Steve Weitzenkom and Beth McCoy to represent the congregation on the board of directors of the Pardes School. Weitzenkom serves as president of the board.

The winners of the Blue Cross Blue Shield of Arizona 2000 Ageless Heroes Awards are: Rose Steward of Scottsdale, 82, Vigor and Vitality Award; George Andrela of Green Valley, 79, Community Involvement Award; Febe Herrera of Cave Creek, 66, Bridging the Generations Award; Carl Ofisher of Scottsdale, 73, Against the Odds Award; James Monroe Crawford of Benson, 70, Love of Learning Award; Pat McMahon of Phoenix, 65, Honorary Ageless Hero Award.

Dr. Martin Bell has joined North Valley Plastic Surgery, located on the campus of Paradise Valley Hospital.

The Israel Cancer Research Fund will hold its Third Annual South Florida Gala in honor of Dr. Leonard M. Toonkel and Gladys and Martin Gelb, at the Wyndham/Miami Beach Resort on Saturday, Dec. 2.
