Breakfast promotes tolerance

The 15th annual Martin Luther King, Jr. interfaith prayer breakfast will begin at 7 a.m. Thursday, Dec. 7, in the Grand Canyon University gymnasium, 3300 W. Camelback Road, Phoenix.

Program participants include representatives from religious groups, including Christians, Jews, Muslims and Sikhs, as well as student choral and gospel groups.

Cost is $15 adults and $5 students. To attend, call 602-254-5081 by Dec. 1. Make checks payable to the Arizona MLK Celebration Committee and mail to Arizona OIC, 39 E. Jackson St., Phoenix, AZ 85004.

Students can compete for scholarships by submitting examples of literature, art and photography to promote the theme "Teaching Tolerance." For details, call Gene Blue, 602-254-5081.
