Pop star performs Hanukkah shows hereHanukkah concerts featuring Jewish music star Rick Recht will be 12:30 p.m. Sunday, Dec. 3, at Temple Chai and at 7 p.m. at Temple Emanuel of Tempe.Recht has toured nationally and released two secular albums before returning to his Jewish roots with his release of "Tov." "Tov" is a Jewish pop album highlighting Recht's prolific lyrical and melodic songwriting with a backup chorus of singers from B'nai B'rith Youth Organization, National Federation of Temple Youth and United Synagogue Youth. Recht is the artist in residence at United Hebrew Congregation in St. Louis. The afternoon concert will feature Temple Chai's choirs. Tickets are $9 adults, $5 students and seniors. Temple Chai is at 4645 E. Marilyn Road, Phoenix. Call 602-971-1234. The evening concert is co-sponsored by Temple Emanuel, The Tri-City Jewish Community Center and Temple Beth Sholom of Chandler. Temple Emanuel's choirs and children from the JCC and Temple Beth Sholom will perform with Recht. Tickets are $5 adults, $3 children under 12 and members of Temple Emanuel Temple Youth, BBYO or USY.
