Obituaries

Burton Schnell

Burton Schnell of Phoenix died Oct. 23, 2000. He was 66.

He was born in Chicago and moved to Arizona 23 years ago from Cleveland. He was a service representative for an insurance company and served in the U.S. Navy. He was a volunteer for the Phoenix Police Department, as a teacher's aide for second-graders, and at the Herberger Theater. He was a member of Toastmasters, Lewkowitz B'nai B'rith and Beth El Congregation. He served on the advisory board of Cigna Senior Health Care.

Survivors include his wife, Sandra; daughters, Marilyn Highland of San Jose, Calif., and Aviva Noeth of Safet, Israel; sister, Clare London of Lyndhurst, Ohio; and nine grandchildren.

Services were held at Sinai Mortuary Chapel, with Rabbi Michael Wasserman officiating. Arrangements were by Sinai Mortuary.
