Evenings filled with food, high-fi

Four upcoming themed events are part of the Phoenix Preparatory High Schools' "18 Carat" program.

French cuisine will be served 6:30-9 p.m. Sunday, Oct. 29, in a private home.

The gourmet meal will be custom-created in the kitchen of Cactus Kosher Foods.

Cost is $125.



Chef Greg Hovland of the Sheraton Mesa Hotel will prepare an array of "incredible edibles" at an intimate dinner 7 p.m. Thursday, Nov. 2, at a private home.

Cost is $54.



Ultimate Entertainment will discuss the latest in high tech for home entertainment systems 7:30-10 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 4, at its showroom at the Scottsdale Airpark.

Refreshments will be hosted by Creative Cappuccino.

Cost is $30.



Learn how to make roses thrive in the desert 4-7 p.m. Sunday, Nov. 5, at a private home.

Wine and hors d'oeuvres will be prepared by Simply Scrumptious Catering and Segal's Kosher Foods.

Cost is $54.
