Families invited to play at JCC annual meeting"Active Now" is the theme for the Valley of the Sun Jewish Community Center's annual meeting, to be held 7-9 p.m., Wednesday, Sept. 27, at Chaparral Suites Hotel Conference Center, 5001 N. Scottsdale Road, Scottsdale.The family event, designed to provide guests with a JCC experience, features basketball, soccer and golf games, as well as preschool, day camp and senior center activities. The program will include the installation of the 2000-2001 board of directors, an award presentation to the JCC Phoenix Team Maccabi 2000 athletes and recognition of the JCC preschool staff. Mickey Lit and Belle Soltz will be recognized for their JCC work for more than 20 years. Kavod Awards will be presented to volunteers Dr. Richard Dobrusin, Seth Korey, Andi Maron, Susan Sandys, Rick Sheinson, David Sherman and Randi Sherman.
