Modern exhibit

The Sylvia Plotkin Judaica Museum opens its new exhibit "The Work of Modern Jewish Artists" at a reception 1-3 p.m. Sunday, Sept. 24, at the museum, at Temple Beth Israel, 10460 N. 56th St., Scottsdale.

The exhibit highlights the contributions of modern Jewish artists to the variety and richness of 20th-century art. Works from the museum's permanent collection of Judaica will be on display, as well as works by contemporary masters such as Yaacov Agam, Marc Chagall and Roy Lichtenstein. Many of these masterpieces are on loan from members of the local community and local galleries.

The exhibit continues through Dec. 31.

Museum hours are 10 a.m.-3 p.m. Tuesdays through Fridays. A $2 donation is requested.

Call 480-951-0323.
