People on the moveStuart Goodman and David Schwartz have formed Goodman Schwartz, a public affairs firm specializing in government relations, and campaign and election strategy. Goodman was formerly an advisor to Arizona Gov. Jane Hull, and Schwartz was formerly an advisor to Phoenix Mayor Skip Rimsza.My Hero Productions, an advertising and marketing firm, has opened in Phoenix. President Ben Gordon was most recently writer, producer and associate creative director with E. B. Lane in Phoenix. Milt Friedman has been elected president of the Scottsdale chapter of Mended Hearts. He was formerly the president of the Valley of the Sun Jewish Community Center. The Family Advisory Council at Phoenix Children's Hospital recently honored four individuals as Family Centered Care champions: Dr. Michael Teodori, physician category; Sherri Linzy, nurse category; Maria Figueroa and Lisa Graika, support staff category. Cheryl Folkerth, CPA with Abalos & Associates, P.C., was named the head of the Arizona Society of CPA's Information Technology Committee. As chairwoman of this committee, Folkerth is responsible for keeping Arizona's certified public accountants educated and informed about technology. Donna Adams has been appointed director of market development at Speakers Academy, Inc. She has eight years of leadership experience with chambers of commerce. Mike Hosking, CEO of Canyon Telecom, Inc., has been elected president of The Arizona Business Alliance. He will serve a six month term. Linda Gorman has joined Omni Management Group, Inc., as a property manager. Mallory Baumgardner has been promoted to senior sales associate at Desert Vista Estates. Her responsibilities will include performing client service duties, providing guided tours and assisting with financing plans. |
