Obituaries

Michael Feinzig

Michael P. Feinzig of Phoenix died May 13, 2000. He was 56.

He was born in Brooklyn, N.Y., and moved to Arizona 24 years ago from New York. He was a pharmacist, a Mason, a member of Temple Chai and of the Arizona Pharmacy Association.

Survivors include his wife, Joy; daughters, Nina and Lauren Feinzig, both of Phoenix; mother, Edyth Feinzig of Long Beach, N.Y.; and sister, Robin Bassuk of Bellmore, N.Y.

Services were held at Sinai Mortuary, with Rabbi William Berk officiating. Arrangements were by Sinai Mortuary.

Ray Levin

Ray L. Levin of Phoenix died May 9, 2000. She was 75.

She was born in New York City. She was a homemaker and a member of Beth Joseph Congregation.

Survivors include her husband, Wallace; daughter, Debra Levin of Phoenix; sons, David of Manhattan Beach, Calif., Donald of Las Vegas and Douglas of Chandler; and five grandchildren.

Services were held at Sinai Mortuary Chapel, with Rabbi David Rebibo officiating. Arrangements were by Sinai Mortuary.

Ettie Matz

Ettie Matz of Phoenix died May 14, 2000. She was 87.

She was born in Warsaw, Poland, and moved to Arizona 17 years ago from Milwaukee. She was a homemaker.

Survivors include her daughter, Sheila Hoffer of Phoenix; son, David of Phoenix; four grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.

Services were held at Sinai Mortuary Chapel, with Rabbi Sharon Cohen officiating. Arrangements were by Sinai Mortuary.

Contributions are suggested to American Cancer Society, 2929 E. Thomas Road, Phoenix 85016.



Minnie Mirotznik

Minnie K. Mirotznik of Chicago died May 13, 2000. She was 103.

She was born in Ukraine.

Survivors include her daughters, Sonia Klayman of Skokie, Ill., and Pearl Grogan of Chicago; sons, Alvin of Sycamore, Ill., and Lawrence of Phoenix; eight grandchildren; and several great-grandchildren.

Services and interment were at Beth Israel Cemetery in Phoenix. Arrangements were by The Weinstein Family Service Devon Chapel in Chicago and Sinai Mortuary in Phoenix.



Sandra Pettler

Sandra Pettler of Scottsdale died May 12, 2000. She was 80.

She was born in Poland and came to the United States. She was a homemaker, a member of City of Hope and Temple Chai Sisterhood, and active in Girl Scouts and P.T.A.

Survivors include her husband, Eugene; daughters, Lynne Pettler Heckman of Chicago and Gail Pettler Cotler of Woodland Hills, Calif.; and four grandchildren.

Services were held at Sinai Mortuary, with Rabbi Lisa Tzur officiating. Arrangements were by Sinai Mortuary.



Irene Temes

Irene "Judy" Temes of Scottsdale died May 12, 2000. She was 80.

She was born in Bilky, Czechoslovakia, and moved to Arizona 16 years ago from Chicago. She was a retired deli manager.

Survivors include her sons, Robert of Chicago and George of Gilbert; brother, Janko Roth of Tel Aviv; and three grandchildren.

Graveside services were held at Phoenix Memorial Park. Arrangements were by Messinger Indian School Mortuary.
