Group will meet to learn fine points of kashrut

East Valley residents interested in learning about keeping kosher are invited to the inaugural meeting of the Kosher Club at 7 p.m. Sunday, June 4, at the home of Ken and Janet Bellovin in Chandler.

Ken Bellovin says that the couple, who are members of Temple Beth Sholom in Chandler, recently began observing the laws of kashrut and are forming a "support group" to exchange ideas with families who keep kosher and others interested in learning more about it.

He hopes to host guest speakers on topics such as kashering the kitchen, shopping for kosher foods, keeping kosher while traveling and handling situations with relatives who don't keep kosher.

For directions to the Bellovin home, call 480-726-0300.
