Reunion scheduled for '60s graduates

A reunion for Phoenix high school graduates from 1962-1968 is scheduled for 7 p.m. on Oct. 14 at Temple Beth Israel, 10460 N. 56th St., Scottsdale.

The Jewish population was so small at that time, most Jewish high school students knew one another, said Janet Arnold, director of the Arizona Jewish Theatre Company and a member of the reunion committee.

A similar reunion was held about 10 years ago, Arnold (formerly Shcolnik), said.

The committee has compiled more than 200 names and is seeking others. To add a name, e-mail Marc Leverant at Itsizzy@aol.com or write to Ava (Rubenstein) Stralla at PMB 177, 11808 Rancho Bernardo, #123, San Diego, CA 92128.

Other members of the committee include Arnold, Jerry Slonsky, Robin (Kogen) Brody and Iris (Rubenstein) Gelfand.
