Arizona State University’s School of Historical, Philosophical and Religious Studies and the Center for Jewish Studies will host a free lecture by Professor Hasia R. Diner of New York University about “Julius Rosenwald: Northern Jewish Philanthropy for African Americans and the Dilemma of Southern Jews,” 7 p.m. Monday, March 13, at the Cutler-Plotkin Jewish Heritage Center, 122 E. Culver St., Phoenix.

The lecture will explore how work of Jewish philanthropists and activists in the north affected life in the south.
