Across the Valley, there are a number of Christian churches that share their space with synagogues. Starting in September, a Christian church will be worshiping at the Valley of the Sun Jewish Community Center in Scottsdale.

“We’ve always had a policy of openness, inclusiveness and we’re real proud of our facilities,” said David Weiner, a board chair at the Jewish Federation of Greater Phoenix, which operates the Valley of the Sun JCC. “Whether it is a non-Jewish church group or even a business that wants to rent space at the campus, we definitely encourage it and accommodate it.”
