Israeli-American Council, Federation to host Mimouna

A Mimouna celebration ( a three-century-old North African Jewish celebration held the day after Passover that marks the return to eating chametz) hosted by the Arizona Israeli-American Council and the Jewish Federation of Greater Phoenix will be held at 8:30 p.m. Saturday, April 22, at the Cutler-Plotkin Jewish Heritage Center, 122 E. Culver St., Phoenix.

The event includes a Havdalah service, a traditional sweets reception, live music, belly dancers, a backgammon tournament and a hookah lounge.
