Jana Boomersbach will be the keynote speaker at the Arizona Jewish Historical Society annual meeting, 11 a.m. Sunday, May 21, at the Cutler-Plotkin Jewish Heritage Center, 122 E. Culver St., Phoenix.

Boomersbach is an acclaimed journalist whose work has encompassed the entire profession, including writing a newspaper column, editing and investigative journalism. She is a recipient of the Distinguished Service Award from the Arizona Press Club, and has been inducted into The Order of the Silver Key by the Society of Professional Journalists. Her talk, “Oh Phoenix, Look Where You Came From,” will highlight interesting aspects of Phoenix history from the 1940s and 1950s.
