Two Valley Jewish leaders see Poland’s dark past and bright future

Before the Holocaust and decades of Communist rule, 3.5 million Jews lived in Poland. It was a thriving center of Jewish culture.

Today, where Judaism was almost extinct, there are many strong examples of renewed Jewish culture and religion. Although there are varied unofficial numbers, it’s estimated there could be as many as 20,000 Jews living in Poland.
