Sherman Minkoff, co-founder of the Jewish Genetics Center of Greater Phoenix, died March 7 at the age of 82.

“Sherman Minkoff was truly a visionary leader. Seeing a great need, he and his wife, Andi, changed the landscape of the Greater Phoenix area by founding the Jewish Genetic Diseases Center of Greater Phoenix,” said Wendy Carriere, executive director of the JGDC. “He worked tirelessly to set up a unique, high-quality program that was able to provide pre-natal genetic testing to young adults. His tireless energy for the center has impacted the lives of thousands of young couples in Phoenix.”
