Sarah Bunin Benor, associate professor of Contemporary Jewish Studies at Hebrew Union College–Jewish Institute of Religion and adjunct associate professor of linguistics at the University of Southern California, will speak on “Chutzpah to Chidush: A Century of Yiddish-Influenced English in America” 7 p.m. Monday, Dec. 12, at Temple Kol Ami, 15030 N. 64th St., Scottsdale. She is the founding co-editor of the Journal of Jewish Languages and creator of the Jewish Language Research Website and the Jewish English Lexicon. Suggested donation is $18.
