Prescott’s Temple B’rith Shalom celebrates 40 years of service

It started with an ad in Prescott’s Daily Courier 40 years ago: "Nice Jewish couple would like to meet other Jewish families. "

The couple, Shirley and Irving Brohner, had moved to Prescott from the Valley to be near family and for the climate, but they continued to worship at their shul in Phoenix. It was that year on a cold winter night while making the trip, that Shirley had a dream: How wonderful it would be to have a Temple close by. And from that dream, Prescott’s Temple B'rith Shalom was born.
