Mt. Sinai Cemetery will host a Kever Avot Memorial Service at 10 a.m. Sunday, Sept. 24. The cemetery is located at 24210 N. 68th St., Phoenix [off Pinnacle Peak Road).

Kever Avot means “Graves of our Fathers” and comes from the custom of visiting the graves of loved ones before or during the High Holidays. Since traveling elsewhere is not always possible, Mt. Sinai hosts a community Kever Avot service that gives people an opportunity to remember and honor their loved ones buried there or anywhere in the world.
