The Jewish Community Association of Greater Phoenix sent out an email blast on Friday, Feb. 21, signed by Joel Kramer, the board chair, and Stuart Wachs, president and CEO, saying, "Our thoughts and prayers go out to the people of Ukraine hoping for a peaceful resolution and for their well-being."

The note pointed out that some funds from the annual Campaign for Jewish Needs go to support the Association's international partners, the American Jewish Joint Distribution Committee (JDC) and the Jewish Agency for Israel (JAFI) and it linked to statements from Alan H. Gill, CEO of JDC, and Misha Galperin, JAFI's president and CEO of International Development, on what those agencies are doing to help those caught in the upheaval in Ukraine.
