The Valley of the Sun Jewish Community center will present this year’s Irv Shuman “Making a Difference” Award to Allan Flader, senior vice president, financial adviser and founder of the Flader Wealth Consulting Group of RBC Wealth Management, at its Oct. 25 Casino Night.

This award is presented to an individual who demonstrates exceptional commitment, passion, service and leadership in the Valley’s Jewish community, inspires others to be engaged and makes a difference in the community.

Flader has lived and worked in Phoenix for most of his life and has held many leadership roles in Jewish agencies throughout the Valley. He grew up at the JCC, attending overnight and summer camp at the former location on Maryland Avenue in Phoenix. He has been a member since 1971 and over the years has been a major donor to the campus campaign, a member of the Habonim society and a corporate sponsor.

He and his wife, Katherine, have two children, Lexi and Carson.

“Allan is very deserving of this award,” said Stuart Wachs, president and CEO of the Jewish Community Association of Greater Phoenix, in a release. “He has been a long-standing supporter of the JCC and he represents a new generation of leaders that feel strongly about supporting Jewish causes and values.”
