Rabbi Amy Eilberg, the first woman ordained as a Conservative rabbi by the Jewish Theological Seminary of America, will speak at two Valley Beit Midrash programs on Monday, March 27.

She will speak about “Middot for Living in Troubled Times” at 2 p.m. at The New Shul, 7825 E. Paradise Lane, Scottsdale. The lecture will discuss how Jewish tradition can help navigate unsettling times with a measure of balance and wisdom. During the session, participants will study texts from the Mussar tradition, reflecting on middot (soul traits) that can support the desire to live righteous lives, even in difficult times.
