Dr. Martin and Joan Mollen will be honored by the Phoenix Community Kollel during the “Q,” a fundraising event to be held Wednesday, Feb. 17, at the Arizona Science Center, 600 E. Washington St., Phoenix.

A reception starts at 6:30 p.m., the program at 7:30 p.m.

The Mollens moved to the Valley from Philadelphia in 1974. 

Dr. “Marty” Mollen practices internal medicine at the Mollen Clinic in Scottsdale and has served on the boards of Ahavas Torah, the Jewish Federation of Greater Phoenix and Temple Chai. Joan has served on the board of the federation, Temple Chai, the Bureau of Jewish Education and the Jewish Genetics Diseases Cetnter. She also chaired Partnership 2000, which paired Phoenix with Israeli communities, for 15 years.

The Mollens have been involved with the kollel since its inception in 2000, with Martin on the kollel board and Joan chairing the Women’s Division’s Brunch.

The “Q” is a fast-paced multimedia trivia competition, where teams compete to win big prizes by answering trivia questions projected on large screens. Each table is a team.
