Attorney Mark Robert Gordon is running for Arizona secretary of state, and if he wins next November, he will become the highest-ranking Jewish elected official in state history.

In what is shaping up to be a highly competitive race, Gordon will face off against state Sen. Katie Hobbs in the Democratic primary in August. Current Arizona Secretary of State Michele Reagan will battle another state senator, Steve Montenegro, in the Republican primary.
