Deborah Sussman Susser has been named communications and media specialist for Arizona State University’s Herberger Institute for Design and the Arts. Before joining the Herberger Institute, she was a public relations specialist at the ASU Art Museum. Sussman Susser was associate editor at Jewish News of Greater Phoenix from 2004 to 2010. 

Birthright Israel Foundation has elected Joshua Nash, a leader in the New York Jewish and philanthropic community and member of its board of directors, as the next board chairman succeeding Dan Och, who has served as chairman since 2008. The Foundation is the U.S.-based fundraising arm of the Taglit-Birthright Israel program, which has sent more than 400,000 young Jewish adults on free, 10-day educational trips to Israel since 2000. Nash is president of Ulysses Management, LLC, and serves as chairman of the board of AV Homes, Inc., a publicly traded real estate company based in Florida. He will begin his term with Birthright Israel Foundation in January 2014.   

GoDaddy founder and Valley philanthropist Bob Parsons recently announced his organization, MP Agency LLC, was buying the Martz Agency. The Scottsdale marketing and public relations firm, founded by Carrie Martz in 1980, will be renamed Martz Parsons.
