Beth El Congregation will honor Joan and Morton Sitver at its upcoming gala, “To Life, L’Chaim,” at 5:30 p.m. Sunday, April 10, at the synagogue, 1118 W. Glendale Ave., Phoenix.

Joan Sitver first joined Beth El as a child, in 1949. She and her husband have been members of the Conservative congregation together for 47 years. 

Joan currently serves on the boards of the Bureau of Jewish Education, Phoenix Holocaust Survivors’ Association and the Beth El Women’s League. Mort is a retired U.S. magistrate judge who volunteers every week at the ICM Food and Clothing Bank.
