ASU student raises funds to combat rare, debilitating pain disorder

Renee Kessler was in dance class when she felt, and heard, her big toe break. She knew something was wrong, but having danced for years, she initially ignored the pain and continued with her class. The next day, she went to the doctor, who confirmed Kessler had indeed broken her toe. She figured it would be six weeks until she healed and then she would get back to dancing.

That was four years ago and Kessler still hasn’t fully recovered.
