With summer almost over and the Jewish New Year less than a month away, many Valley Jews will be reconnecting with their synagogues, some of which are welcoming new clergy and saying goodbye to others.

Last month, Rabbi Emily Langowitz joined Temple Solel in Paradise Valley. Originally from Wellesley, Massachusetts, Langowitz received her undergraduate degree in modern Hebrew from Yale in 2012 and graduated from Hebrew Union College Jewish Institute of Religion in New York City earlier this year. Langowitz recently completed an internship at Larchmont Temple in Larchmont, New York.
