Anthem synagogue outgrows its space, moves services to Hampton Inn

The salmon-accented Hampton Inn Phoenix/Anthem might seem like an odd place to find a religious service. But once a month the hotel — approximately 30 miles north of downtown Phoenix and skirting the edge of the open desert — undergoes a transformation, as an otherwise innocuous meeting room becomes the sanctuary for the North Valley Jewish Community Association (NVJCA).

“This past year, as our congregation got more active and we’ve had more members participating in services, we saw that our old room was really too small for our needs,” said NVJCA President Michael Chambers. “We were looking for a bigger place.”
