Freedom of speech. Freedom of religion. The right to bear arms. The right to a trial by jury. The Bill of Rights is a cornerstone of American government, yet there are no stones dedicated to it. Not yet, anyway.

The Bill of Rights Monument Project, a nonprofit, bipartisan effort to put a monument to the Bill of Rights in front of the Arizona State Capitol, is well underway. Conceived by comedian and Valley resident Chris Bliss six years ago, it will be the first public monument dedicated to the Bill of Rights in the United States.
