W    henever we travel, my wife, Stephanie, always makes sure we seek out Jewish historical sites to explore and study. She retired as history teacher, but never let her thirst for knowledge run dry. An old synagogue in Berlin. The Jewish quarter in Prague (on Passover no less). She always knows just where to look.

So I was only mildly surprised on our cruise to Barcelona in February that our brief stop in Casablanca, Morocco, held the opportunity to see the only museum devoted to Judaism in the Arab world. And it was an opportunity I knew we weren’t going to miss. Our timing was perfect because the Musee du Judaisme Morocain is celebrating its 20th anniversary in 2017. The title of the museum appears at the entryway in English, French, Arabic and Hebrew.
