Valley Beit Midrash is partnering with the Jewish Book Council to present a discussion on Edgar  M. Bronfman’s last book, “Why Be Jewish?” with Ruth Andrew Allenson, the book’s editor, and Adam R. Bronfman, president of The Samuel Bronfman Foundation, 7 p.m. Thursday, April 20, at Temple Kol Ami, 15030 N. 64th St., Scottsdale. The program will begin with networking and light appetizers.

Edgar Bronfman, the longtime CEO of Seagram Company, was an author, businessman and philanthropist.
